SpawMaxwell Recognized for Outstanding Interior Construction

The annual awards for outstanding construction projects completed in 2008 were handed out at a dinner banquet hosted by the Associated General Contractors – Central Texas Chapter, with SpawMaxwell taking top honors in two categories for interior construction. The company also won special recognition for the renovation of the AGC boardroom, completing a hat-trick for awards and recognition for outstanding construction.

SpawMaxwell was awarded the AGC 2008 Outstanding Construction Award for Interior Finish-Out in two categories: Lobby renovation at 816 Congress Avenue (<$500,000 category) for owner Grubb & Ellis, and for the 2-floor renovation at the Chase Tower for client RGM Advisors, LLC ($2M to $5M category); Grubb & Ellis also has a controlling interest in the Chase Tower. Gensler was the architect for RGM Advisors, LLC with American Realty Corporation providing construction management services. STG Design was the architect for the lobby renovation at 816 Congress Avenue.

“These three projects are good examples of the size and complexity of the work that we’ve delivered for Austin clients since 2000,” said Jane Kalina, general manager of SpawMaxwell Austin. “Together with our trade partners, no job is too large or small or too complex.”
