SpawMaxwell 'Steps Outside the Box' and Laugh Riot Ensues

Dallas, February 18, 2009 – With laughter seemingly in short supply these days, SpawMaxwell decided it was time Dallas was introduced to the company’s signature fundraising event: The Night of Comedy is an “out of the box” way to raise money and awareness for deserving nonprofits. The Dallas show will benefit Heroes for Children. SpawMaxwell superintendents and project managers (hard hats are optional at this show!) will storm the stage for a 2-hour comedy blitz starting at 7p sharp, Wednesday, February 18 at the Addison Improv, 4980 Beltline Road, #250. Doors open for networking and cash bar/food at 6p. For tickets contact the Improv, 972-404-8501.

SpawMaxwell brings the wildly popular Night of Comedy to Dallas, an annual event started 4-years ago in Houston (Austin marked its 3rd annual show in November) that uses stand-up comedy – featuring in-house talent – to satisfy the company’s intention to give back to the community. By day, the SpawMaxwell comics are mild mannered construction professionals (most of the time): Superintendents, project managers, and coordinators. By night, they emerge as comedic warriors’ Hell bent on getting laughs. And SpawMaxwell delivers. See clips from previous shows at: http://www.spawmaxwell.com/videos.html

The beneficiary of the Dallas Night of Comedy is Heroes for Children, a nonprofit organization providing financial and social assistance to Texas families with children (22 years and younger) battling cancer. “We’re excited to start this relationship with SpawMaxwell to help families in Texas with children battling cancer,” said Jenny Scott, executive director and co-founder of Heroes for Children. “When families are dealing with something as painful as childhood cancer, keeping a good sense of humor really helps.”
