Thirty-eight Houston-based companies were award-winners in
the 2002 Houston Business Journal's “Best Places to
Work” in Houston contest. To determine winners, judges
considered responses to a confidential employee survey as
well as each company’s comprehensive benefits package.
The competition
was divided into several categories based on company size.
For companies with between 101 and 500 employees there were
12 winners, and SpawMaxwell placed SECOND!
Two of our clients were among the other
winners in our category: FKP Architects and Texas Medical
Center Corp. Industry winners in our category included
Linbeck, A&E-the Graphics Complex, and Walter P. Moore.
Significantly, many of our clients were
winners in their own categories: Fulbright & Jaworski,
Ocean Energy, Southwest Bank of Texas, AIM Management, and
The Houstonian Hotel, Club, & Spa. It’s not a
coincidence – our outstanding culture is one reason that
we work so well with these firms!
Everyone should be proud of this accomplishment – it took
all of us to win. Special credit for the winning
submission goes to Ann Olson, Betty Adams and Leslie
Martinez.
