SpawMaxwell Night of Comedy
A Tradition of Laughter

The SpawMaxwell comedy show puts a different twist on traditional fundraisers by giving employees and area businesses a unique and fun way to get involved in charitable giving. By day, the SpawMaxwell comics are mild mannered construction professionals (most of the time): Superintendents, project managers, and coordinators. By night, they emerge as comedic warriors’ Hell bent on getting laughs. And SpawMaxwell delivers.

Faith in Practice, Night of Comedy Beneficiary
“SpawMaxwell has worked side by side with us for years providing advice, counsel, and resources to renovate several medical facilities throughout Guatemala,” said Linda McCarty, Executive Director of Faith in Practice. “Because of them our surgeons can safely serve the poor of Guatemala. SpawMaxwell has provided constant support not only in assisting us in renovating these facilities, which represent hope to the poor, but also in fundraising efforts such as the Night of Comedy. We are truly blessed by their partnership.”

Lance Armstrong Foundation, Night of Comedy Beneficiary

“We feel so fortunate to be the beneficiaries of SpawMaxwell’s Night of Comedy,” said Doug Ulman, President and CEO of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  “We certainly aren’t going to let cancer get the last laugh and are grateful to them for joining us in the fight against a disease that takes more than 565,000 American lives each year.”

Opportunity Austin 2.0, Night of Comedy Beneficiary

“It was a fantastic evening and a great crowd,” said Tim Crowley, President of the Community Banking Group at Frost Bank. Crowley is the incoming Chairman of Opportunity Austin 2.0, the economic development arm of the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce charged with attracting and retaining talent in business in Austin. “The comedy was very, very good.  Congratulations on the success of the Relief Fund - it was the right thing to do and clearly, resonated with the whole crowd.”  More than $13,000 in additional funds was raised for Save the Children/Haiti Relief through raffle sales, and matching contributions from SpawMaxwell and Balfour Beatty Construction following the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

Heroes for Children, Night of Comedy Beneficiary

“I want to say ‘thank you’ to the SpawMaxwell Group for choosing Heroes for Children, and making this something so very special,” said Jenny Scott, executive director of Heroes for Children.  “This evening was so fun and so fantastic; it really impacted the lives of cancer families in Texas.”
